When we first founded Gulf Building in 1991, we did so out of the belief that enhanced results could only come from improvements to the many different components of the construction management and design process. We knew that improved timeliness is just as important as sticking to a budget and that quality materials mean little without the expertise and skill to guarantee precision. With this in mind, we hold ourselves to a higher standard, not only in the work we deliver but in the people that make up our team.
Mr. John Scherer oversees all operations. Pre-construction efforts include conceptual estimating, budgeting, value engineering and scheduling. Construction phase activities include issuance of contract documents, project management, receipt and award of subcontract bids, and corporate representative managing relations with the architect/engineer, owner and regulator agencies.

Mr. Derrer has over 19 years of experience in the construction industry. His expertise ranges from estimating, value engineering, contracts, scheduling, submittal review, cost control and billing, pre construction, change orders, project supervision, owner representative, coordination with owners, architects, and local municipalities, and project close out.
